Hundy days. Here it is. Feel great. Exercising, reading, sleeping, eating. In short, very much alive. Like the country song says, feels so good feeling good again. Thank you for your love and constancy, your support, your gifts and generosity.
Especially, thank you for your friendship. Next to the love of a good woman, it's the most important thing.
yesterday: max close-grip bench 150
assistance: reverse grip press, rolling tri extensions, shoulder raises, hammer curls
today, conditioning: 40 yard backward sled drag (300#)/ 5 tire flips X 5
skill work: 2 strict pull ups every minute, 20 minutes
The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong in the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.

It's great to see this day come...and see the 180 you've done in such a short amount of time. I'm sure it seemed longer for you...
ReplyDeleteGreat to see the progress on your trek back up to your fight'n weight!
Hey man. 100 days may not be a landmark day for a reason, but it's a landmark day at least by convention. So I'm glad to see you posting pictures of daisies, even if you're posting about doing curls at the same time. Curls. Pah.
ReplyDeleteBut man oh man, may you be strong in the broken places. I wouldn't have my favorite blog writer any other way. And, you left something off the list: love of a good woman, friends. Yes. But also ice cream. That makes you soft, but it's really good.
I hate country music, except the occasional ballad, but man, that's music to my ears. The quote breaks me in all the right ways.
ReplyDeleteCongrats. Great news. Glad to have been a part of this. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteNow I plan to read* a farewell to arms.
* listen to someone read on my truck sterio
Sterio or stereo?
ReplyDeleteScrew it, sound system!
in "stereo" the E's are in stereo.
ReplyDeleteHate country music? We love only what we understand.
100 days ago today seemed like an eternity away. Nice push.
ReplyDeleteWar story and love story? Like The English Patient? I still think that could have been a good movie if they just would have focused on the war part.
Glad you feel great and living it up. Keep living it up. Today 101. I think it feels great for me to be a friend and be feeling it too. Is that Don Gordner conditioning or your own?
ReplyDeleteI second the question...Hate country music? If you truly hate it, we are going to have to sit at different ends of the table at CJ's Feast of Friends.
ReplyDeleteWar Story and Love Story...are you talking about "Smokey and the Bandit"?
i hate country music ballads.
ReplyDeleteArgh. Ok, i hate fast country ditties with no discordance, anger or soul. Better? I want a seat at the feast of friends. Plus, taylor swift sings some good ones. K???
