ReplyDeletelegend has it that in late October '88 one or more vandals pulled wing mirrors in and sneaked through a narrow entrance (why unlocked, only karma knows) onto the Loyalsock (Lancers) High School football field and did numerous and defacing "donuts," "spinouts" and/or rooster tails. It was thought the perpetrators may have come from South Williamsport High School, a rival football team that had just suffered a bitter 7-6 loss. No suspects were found or charged for this offense or any they may or may not have committed subsequently. The vehicle was suspected to be of truck size with big tires, maybe blue and probably loud and perhaps nicknamed the Beast. The crimes against an uppity rich kid suburban high school have gone unsolved, as is maybe better. Not saying it's true, just saying I heard it.
