  1. that's a solid 5k time, lung man. Sadly, it's just another 5k in the holiday challenge. But the coach for the winter team event is watching. You keep it up and you might get a bid.

  2. I'm just as likely to have lungs like Cope as to have tits like Phoebe Cates.

  5. 1st 5k yesterday, 1st 10k tonight. much respek for 19:35. much respek.

    tonight was 45:03.9

i was trying like the dickens to get in under 45min. i think I may have jeopardized my spleen, or some other such vital bit.

funny, i thought, for like a half a day (the part of the day prior to the 10,000m row), that I'd try a marathon this weekend. but then I thought "eh, maybe try a 10k first." well, enough of that.

  7. Might be time to buy a rower pilch. you know, if you have an extra $900 bucks laying around and you don't want to go to copeland's house.

  8. CJ...Just and FYI, per your comment about odd meters...don't expect a round number from me...ever...

  9. or a straight answer. RIMSHOT!

rowed some 4 minute intervals. some hot, some loafing, some in between. was trying to get used to a 4min piece and prepare for O'neill test. in my 4th i decided to lean on it, not blat out but firing for sure. got 1011 meters which i think is average but also 5k or so into a longish wod and i could have been smarter about pace. Not to say i can touch Cope but I think the above average ranking is possible with recovery and proper warm up. Recovery being the key. This rowing every day is getting oppressive. Galley slave isnt really a metaphor, it's for real. im chained to the thing. Raming speed!
